The Business Retention Program was created to help reduce the number of businesses closing due to owner retirement. This could have a profound and positive long-term impact on every community in rural Alberta.

- To prevent small businesses from closing, by matching qualified buyers to appropriate properties
- To assist business owners in formulating an exit plan which will ensure they make the best sale possible
